MEET SUZANNE

Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Hat Maker,

Writer & Audio Book Narrator

As you might have guessed I'm a Kundalinli Yoga teacher. But like most of us who teach yoga, that's not the only thing I do. I'm a hat maker, Author of "Pocket of Pain", an audiobook narrator, a Web Designer & book designer, mother of grown twins, parent of two wonderful cats, and married for 25+ years.

I love to dance, sing (even with a mid-level voice), play the piano, and sometimes guitar (learning to play always), I love doing puzzles, reading, and laughing.

One thing I will say, is that my practice of Kundalini Yoga, and the teaching of it, gives me the momentum, and energy to fulfill all my other passions.

WHY KUNDALINI YOGA?

What I love about the Kundalini practice is that it’s a full-body experience. A technology that works with sound, vibration, breath, mantra, and movement to optimize the whole being. It works with the glands and organs as well as the muscles in our bodies. On a deeper level we can use the practice to remove the scattered, negative energies and thoughts and replace them with a focused direction, using powerful, positive mantras, and our breath.

I use this practice daily so I can gain clarity, and be calm and steady, so that all the stuff happening outside and around me, doesn’t impact me in such a raw way. It's helped me to be more patient and to respond instead of react. But it takes practice, and patience. And discipline. Every day, every time we sit down, begins a new day, a clean slate.

This practice can poke and provoke us, because we are asked to do a lot of new and different movements. We are breaking the linear way in which we physically and mentally go through life. But when you make the commitment to yourself and stick with it, you not only experience the promised outcomes of the practice, but you also have a renewed trust in yourself to follow through on what's most important to your soul.

WHAT DO I BRING TO YOUR PRACTICE?

I'm very sensitive to the needs, and limitations of my clients. I don't push you into postures when I know you can't. I suggest modifications. I blend challenges with a restorative practice. My clients know they can trust me to listen to them, and work with them to meet them where they are.
